"Holding" Selected as Semifinalist in O'Neill National Playwrights Conference

My newest play, "Holding," has been selected as a Semifinalist in the 2015 Eugene O'Neill National Playwrights Conference. The Eugene O’Neill Theater Center is the country’s preeminent organization dedicated to the development of new works and new voices for the American theater. The O’Neill has been home to more than 1,000 new works for the stage and 2,500 emerging artists. Scores of projects developed at the O’Neill have gone on to full production at other theaters around the world, including Broadway, Off-Broadway, and major regional theaters.

In "Holding," three worldviews collide when a wealthy American woman finds herself detained with an Egyptian traveler, questioned by a small-town sergeant in a police holding room in Ireland.

"Open House" is now an Official Selection in the L.A. Comedy Shorts Film Festival AND the L.A. Comedy Fest!

I'm thrilled to announce that "Open House," a short comedy film I wrote, has just been selected as part of the 2014 L.A. Comedy Shorts Film Festival! The festival is May 15-18 at Downtown Independent in Los Angeles. Tickets are available now and we hope to see you there.

We were also excited to be included in the Los Angeles Comedy Festival this past April, in Hollywood's Let Live Theater. We were so impressed with the quality of films, and had a blast meeting new people.

"Open House" is directed by Marisha Mukerjee, and stars the brilliant and hilarious Carrie Barrett and Herbert Russell (in addition to myself, ahem!). The short film is a twisted look at what happens when a house-hunting couple and a real estate agent have a truthful conversation (listening not required).
