"This Is Crazy" Finalist at Utah Shakespeare's "Words Cubed" 2025

So proud to announce that my newest comedy “This Is Crazy” is a Finalist for the Utah Shakespeare Festival’s “Words Cubed” 2025 new play development program.

Development opportunities at wonderful theaters like these are becoming more and more rare, and I know competition is fierce. Although my play was not selected, being a finalist is a big win. I look forward to continuing to work on this play at a reading while in New York next month!

Here’s the synopsis for “This Is Crazy:”

Sometimes life throws you a curveball, or, in Laila and Jackson's case, a giant, pointy, mysterious (and possibly intergalactic) Thing. Will they be able to hold on to their understanding of how the world works, achieve their hard-earned dreams, and still look their oddball neighbors in the eye again? Life is full of surprises, but this is crazy.

Thank you, Utah Shakespeare Festival!
